Research and experience have different labels.

A catalog entry records what a manufacturer says. A research guide explains documented information and its limits. A hands-on review identifies the sample, exact phone, method and actual duration of use. Measurements retain their setup and supporting evidence. Current coverage contains research notes. No completed hands-on case review has been published.

Materik is disclosed.

Joe works with Materik. That relationship is visible in the journal and stated in relevant coverage. Any future contributor covering Materik must also declare their relationship to the brand and this project.

Money and products stay visible.

Purchased products, gifts, loans, affiliate links and paid content will be identified. Supplying a product does not buy a score or the removal of criticism. This personal project currently has no sponsors, affiliate program or paid placements.

Images have provenance.

Materik archive photography is used with permission confirmed for this journal. Apple press images come from the official iPhone Duo media pack and are reproduced unaltered for the current noncommercial editorial use. They are credited and linked to Apple Newsroom. That permission does not extend to advertising or sponsored use. We will reassess image permissions before any commercial change to the journal.

Other brand photographs need documented permission before publication. Where permission is not established, we link to the brand's original photographs. An image credit alone does not grant a license. Archive and press images illustrate their subjects, they do not establish a test result or a factory visit.

Corrections keep a history.

Sources, revisions and meaningful corrections should remain traceable. When a statement changes materially, the article should explain what changed and why. A shared family name or matching dimensions do not transfer a result to another product. Send a correction with the article URL and supporting evidence to [email protected].
